If you guys don’t know by now I absolutely love Disneyland! When I lived in Southern California I had an annual pass and went about 55 times in one year! No joke!!! I have so many fond memories of Disneyland, one of which was my friend proposing to one of my besties. I get giddy every time I start to smell the kettle corn and hear the happy music. I just want to skip all the way to the ticketing gate. I guess I’m a total sucker for the “happiest place on earth.”

Well Adriane & Sean have an even more magical story. Adriane and her family are true Disneyland lovers; having had annual passes forever. They even have a family brick out in the front where the ticketing gates are. It was only appropriate that Adriane met Sean, a chef at Disneyland!

When they asked me to do their engagement session at Disneyland how could I say no?! Little did we know it would be the first day of spring break for Southern California, so I have to admit it was a bit tricky with the amount of people we surprisingly encountered on a weekday! All in all I think we had a lot of fun for this shoot!

Zina and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding this weekend!

Happy Friday! I thought it would be appropriate to share a funny little post before the weekend. I posted Shannon & Terry’s engagement session awhile ago here, but what I didn’t post was their hilarious gingerbread costume! Happy Friday! I thought it would be appropriate to share a funny little post before the weekend. I posted Shannon & Terry’s engagement session awhile ago here, but what I didn’t post was their hilarious gingerbread costume! I couldn’t post these photos before because it was going to be a surprise for their wedding guests, but since their amazing wedding has come and gone I’m allowed to share these now!

I honestly don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard at an engagement session in my life. The second Terry put on that costume all I could do was burst out in laughter. We even had some strangers do a drive by and photograph Terry!

There are a few things about this session that stood out to me that made it so awesome. I have to admit there were a lot of firsts in my life!

  1. I went on a paddle boat for the first time in my life.
  2. I went on a paddle boat for the first time in my life with 2 fantastic people AND their dog Titan!
  3. I have never seen a bowl of pho so big in my life.

I can’t wait to shoot your wedding this coming September!

Some of my favorite moments are when I pose a couple and have them look serious, but a split second later they’re completely cracking up!

The biggest bowl of pho ever! The three of us couldn’t even finish it! It’s pretty astonishing that people have finished this challenged!

This is an extra special post for me! I’ve known about Hannah since I was in middle school through a mutual friend, fast forward several  years and we find ourselves coincidentally in the same dorm at UCI! What’s even more bizarre is Hannah and I have the same exact names, albeit we spell our first and last names differently. This was the start of our very beautiful friendship and many years of being roommates while confusing everyone around us! (Which Han(n)a(h) are you looking for? Korean? Chinese? Short? Tall? Banana? Bear?)

What makes this story of Hannah + Albert even more special is I think I can confidently say I was a huge factor in bringing them together! Matchmaking victory! Let’s just say potluck, a friend bringing a friend, and the following week I so conveniently left a hang out at D&B asking Albert to give Hannah a ride home *wink* The rest is history!

I can’t wait to be part of their big day as a bridesmaid! What an honor it is and will be!!! Although I can’t photograph their wedding I was able to do their engagement shoot. A quick shoot around San Francisco. Counting down the days until your wedding!

A long long time ago, when I worked in an office, Jenn & I were coworkers! It was fun to hear about her boyfriend at the time and I was even more thrilled when she told me she was getting married and asked me to photograph her engagement session. I was back in one of my favorite spots in Orange County to shoot their engagement session. Congrats on your recent marriage! I wish you and Chris much happiness & love!!!

I knew this engagement session would be awesome from the moment I saw that Jin + Naomi = Jinomi! We had a fun-filled day trekking around San Francisco exploring areas I’ve never been too and revisiting old ones. We were so worried the week before because the weather had been horrible, but it cleared up and was so beautiful for that one day. The next day crazy storms hit for the entire week!

Meet Jinomi!

Jin wanted photos with graffiti so we headed over to the Mission District. They seriously have some amazing murals!

Of course we had to stop and get some burritos!!!

This next set of photos makes me laugh so much. Naomi cut the cutest paper hearts out so we could throw them, but we probably took these photos 10+ times because each time the paper hearts flew towards Jin’s face he would cringe! In the end we just told him to look at Naomi so he wouldn’t see all those hearts flying towards him!

Jin loves his iPhone. He converted Naomi.

One of my favorites!

A lil fun with my lensbaby.

I love love love love this very classic looking San Francisco engagement shoot, we started off at their super chic place where we played with their cats and went to the rooftop to view the city on such a beautiful day. Then we ended up going all over the city where we braved the freezing weather,  especially when we did some photos at night!  Since this shoot they had the most beautiful ceremony at this gorgeous location in Carmel that I’m equally excited to share with you all soon!

They were actually saving their first real kiss for their wedding day, which I witness & photographed and it went flawlessly!!!!! I love the vibe of this session and I think it really fit their personalities perfectly!

Yes…they climbed up this giant orange tree….! I was praying they wouldn’t fall off!

The spot where they had their DTR (define the relationship for those who don’t know what it means) :) So cute!

Can’t wait to blog their beautiful wedding soon!

Happy September!!! I grew up in the Bay Area, but I actually never set foot on the Berkeley campus until this engagement session!!!  I know, you would think coming from a Korean family my parents would’ve made me go on a campus tour when I was five, but they really didn’t care and let me [...]

Happy September!!!

I grew up in the Bay Area, but I actually never set foot on the Berkeley campus until this engagement session!!!  I know, you would think coming from a Korean family my parents would’ve made me go on a campus tour when I was five, but they really didn’t care and let me find myself on my own!

I love this campus!  How fitting was it to do their session here since it is Jenny’s alma mater and Abe frequently drove over a hour several times a week to visit her.  He once said he drove there twice in a day which basically meant 4 trips back and forth!  That’s love and a lot of bridge tolls!

Jenny was an art major so we visited her old building!

So silly!

I loved this cool wall they had there!

If you know Jenny she LOVES food! She introduced me to this delicious goodness in the form of an apple cloud. So yummy!

We made it just in time to catch this one last picture at Treasure Island!

I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this Saturday!

Reed + Kendrick and I had a few phone calls back and forth and I was thrilled to be hired to do their Southern California engagement session and wedding! They decided they wanted to go to the historic Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside to do their engagement session. Can I just say every corner has something cool in that hotel?! And it’s so stunningly beautiful!

Can’t wait to shoot your wedding in October!
